COOKIES!

So I have discovered the BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe EVER. Unfortunately, I can't take credit for it. Jenna, from Eat, Live, Run posted it here. She calls them My Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies, and now I can say that they are MY favorite as well. (Sorry, mom.)

So here's what I used:

Your ingredients are pretty similar to other choc. chip cookie recipes, but no white sugar. The star is the dark brown sugar.

Now, Jenna suggests mixing your ingredients in two separate dishes. First, mix your flour, baking soda, and salt in one bowl, then set aside.

(Probably the most exciting picture of all time.)

Then you mix your butter and brown sugar.

Once it's evenly blended, add each egg, one at a time. Then your vanilla. Mix until creamy.

Add in your flour mixture but don't overwork. This is key because she says if you overwork the dough the cookies will spread out too far on the baking sheet and will end up flat. Carefully mix in as many chocolate chips as you want. I added the whole bag.

I made golf ball size dough balls to put on my awesome cookie sheets that my Aunt Penny gave me.

Bake at 350* for 12 minutes.

The result will be these bad boys:

I had about four once they were done because I couldn't stop myself. The rest are in the freezer waiting until Tuesday to be sent 5,000 miles east.

Make some! Here is the recipe.
