Summer Dream part 2

If you read my last post, you'll know that Paul and I are planning a Mediterranean holiday next summer. Last night while watching The Biggest Loser I realized that I do not want to feel or look like a baby whale on the beach in Greece and Croatia. Instead I want to look like THIS:

This, my friends, is Heidi Klum. Heidi, along with Britney Spears and Scarlett Johansson make up my "Women I Wish I Looked Like" trifecta. Heidi is also going to be my visual motivation to kick ass in the weight loss department. I want to be one of those people who get up at 6 am on their vacation to run on the beach. I also want to feel more proud of and comfortable in my body.

Therefore, today was a very good day for me! Here are my eats:

Breakfast: Smoothie with baby spinach, mixed berries, 1/2 banana, and orange juice; Egg, veggie sausage and cheese McMuffin
Lunch: Three Cheese Rigatoni Lean Cuisine, cucumber, Diet Pepsi
Snack: 6 Saltines, 1/2 banana
Dinner: Parsley and lemon crusted cod, couscous, and roasted broccoli; Lemonade with fresh mint

I do have to say: Eating healthy is kind of a lot of work. It feels weird putting so much thought into what's going into your mouth when you have been unconscious about it for so long. Of course there are a lot of changes I could make, including less processed food for lunch.

It's going to be a long journey until July-August of 2012. I hope by then this healthy eating thing becomes more of a habit. Only 500 or so days to go!

  2. Man look at this bonzagas!

Sometimes, when I can't sleep I imagine that I will one day have a body like this and I day dream about how hot I will be. lol! Unfortunately, I am too lazy for that, but the point is, it is good to have an image to strive for when trying to get fit! Although, you may have to live on carrot sticks and red-bull if you want to look like her.

In any case, I totally believe you have the will power to get a rockin body for the beach! Maybe you guys can even check out some nude beaches!

  4. Cindy - You can be my #1 cheerleader b/c I for sure need one! You will see me in April - we will be back for about a week!

SJ - I know what you mean about the laziness. I know I will NEVER look like Heidi Klum but she is my THINspiration nonetheless. And Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk by David Sedaris is a collection of short stories with animals taking the place of humans in adult situations. He is a comedic writer, so even though I haven't started reading it yet, it sounds up our alley! I'll let you know what I think once I read it :)
